We had some rotting wood stairs along the side of our house that needed to be replaced and Alchemy was fantastic to work with from start to finish. They responded quickly to my quote request and provided several options to choose from. The work was completed quickly and professionally. Hello there. If you are reading this, that means you are looking at customer reviews for Alchemy Landscaping. They did a project for us in the fall of 2025, so we will share our experience with you. FYI, we were on a tight budget and trying to maximize it.Customer contact. Alchemy answers their phone calls and emails. It was difficult to get landscaping companies in Kelowna to return our calls and emails. Never mind showing up to give you a quote.Quoting. We finally had three contractors show up for quotes. The first company (listed high in the Google search engine ) was at the house for about 10 minutes, chucked a measuring tape around a few times and threw us out a number that seemed insanely low for the scope of the project, and they were not able to do irrigation work. The second company was thorough to a degree, but had things listed like 1 irrigation zone for that front and back yard ( which aren't connected ) and a vague material list. Then Alchemy came by, and I will tell you, the breakdown of the quote was amazing. All of the materials, sprinkler zones, and retaining walls were listed to the foot and laid out in a way we could understand. It was more expensive than the second quote, so we asked the second company to refine their quote, adding some details that were given to us by Alchemy, I.E, number of sprinkler zones, etc. After receiving that revision, what we had in our hands from Alchemy was still more informative.Our Decision. We decided to go with Alchemy even though their quote was a little higher because we felt there would be fewer hidden costs that we would have to find money for.The work was amazing. Julien looked after us, and his crew were friendly and hardworking. They were also conscientious of how the scope of the work would affect our neighbor's yard. They came in on time and on budget. They also made sure we knew how to use everything and that we had a plan to look after our new turf.Overall, we are very pleased with our new front and back yard setup, and how far our money went. If you are looking for a contractor like we were, give these guys a shot!
Highly recommend! Alchemy built a sturdy, well-crafted retaining wall with steps and designed our yard beautifully with decorative rock. The team was professional, friendly, and truly cared about their work. A pleasure to have around. We re-hired them for additional landscaping!
