We were extremely pleased with the work that Mike and his hardworking crew did to remedy a water pooling problem which was affecting a retaining wall. Dirt was removed from the wall and replaced with vapour cloth and drain rock. Eavestroughs were rerouted along with irrigation piping and berms were installed for proper drainage away from the wall. What a relief knowing that the problem was corrected! The existing driveway was extended to further ensure drainage by installing a road base and covering with drain rock and crush and providing nice edging. In addition, we needed an oil tank removed and Mike was able to do that as well. We were happy that the lawn which was disturbed in the process for these projects was completely finished with top soil and grass seeded. The entire area was cleaned up really well. We would highly recommend Mike for his great work, timeliness and efficiency. Always available to contact as well. A great plus. Great work and service.
Poor Value for Exceptional PriceThe finished project looks good, but its exceptional price is not matched by exceptional quality. In fact, much of the detail and finishing work is average at best. The final cost came in at 200% higher than the agreed upon quote, tripling the price of the job. While some surprises are expected, and there was an addition to the project, the final bill was unjustified by the actual work.I was upsold on a larger irrigation control unit as I needed 18-19 zones, up from the existing 12. This was not needed in the end, as the final system only required 13 zones but they still installed and charged me for the larger capacity unit. The crew damaged existing fencing panels they removed for access and replaced them with non-outdoor rated wood, and then charged me for the replacement, and I have to seal the wood now. They lost the wiring for an existing irrigation zone that didn't require work and was not part of the project. They billed me to re-trench and connect the existing irrigation line to fix their error. For the price paid, the attention to detail was sorely lacking, and they damaged multiple existing and new trees. The crew damaged over half of the new trees during planting, ripping the trunks. I was told all the dead in them was shock, but most have not come back fully. We will see in the spring the true damage they did. They repeatedly struck existing and new trees with the Bobcat, ripping off multiple branches. The mulch rings around trees were not centered, and they were overfilled with dirt mixed with mulch, which is now promoting weed growth. I have had to dig out and replace all of it. Same for the river rock edging. Numerous details like a drip line being run outside the tree edging, so you couldn't string trim around it, show a lack of care in the finishing work. The amount of broken valves, connectors, pieces of rebar I have picked up strewn around the edging has totaled 17 pieces. The irrigation has been a significant headache. I have had to call the company back nine times for chronic issues, including leaks, non-functioning zones, missing irrigation and control timer problems. I have now given up and am hiring a separate irrigation company to fix their work and have redone some of it myself.Because of their inadequate irrigation work, we have lost half of our garden and one new tree. Another new tree was never hooked up to irrigation, they just simply didn't run a line to it, and when they corrected it after we saw it was dry and dying, the line still didn't work and I had to take it apart and blow the dirt out that had plugged the line. Most sprinkler heads are a tripping hazard. While they returned twice to lower some heads, most still need to be adjusted to a proper depth for mowing. There were two sections of exposed pipe which on a complaint they lowered but I have no faith I can aerate my lawn in those areas. The fencing was also a challenge for them with gaps as the posts were placed wider than the panels, broken panels left as finished. I could go on on all areas of the job, bottom line the quality was not worth the final cost or even half of it.The owner is responsive to complaints, which is good customer service, but it is deeply frustrating to require them to return almost a dozen times. The rock wall they installed looks nice, and the sod took well.I recommend this company only for large items like rock walls. I advise against hiring them for irrigation, fencing, or any finishing/detailed work. Keep an eye on your bill. All Pictures are their finished work, it was left in this state.
Mike and his team re-did a huge retaining wall system at our house and leveled an area of our yard into usable space for us. It was a big and challenging project and they did an amazing job! Our retaining wall was failing and Mike went above and beyond to make sure the new wall was engineered properly, was structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing. We couldn’t be happier with the result! We have gained safe and useful access to a big area of our property and enhanced our curb appeal. Mike is not only exceptionally skilled at rock work, he is also an amazing human being. He really cares about his clients, he has integrity and pride in his work, he answers calls and messages right away and he will go the extra mile to try and make his clients (and even their neighbors) happy. Thank you to Fuller’s Landscape Company for a job well done!
Hired Michael & his team to remove rock fill and lay top soil, sod and run an irrigation line with sprinklers around the side and back of the house. The communication was good, Michael came out and quoted the job on the spot, and pricing was very reasonable. The whole crew was super friendly and professional, they got the work done on a Saturday, which was appreciated. Quality of work was excellent. Overall I'm very happy with their service.
We hired Michael and his company to build us a concrete driveway and do some landscaping around our house which included building some stairs out of 400 pound paving steps. Initially we had a couple issues with the steps being out of alignment, probably because they were shifted when the excavator was moving the final steps. Michael had his team quickly come back and fix the issues. He also brought in some extra topsoil without charging us to ensure that our backyard was properly graded.Overall we are so happy we hired Michael to do this work and would recommend him to anyone.
