The team did an amazing job of our front yard. We are very happy with it. They were so easy to work with, friendly and accommodating! We would not hesitate to reach out to them again!
In early 2008, we experienced basement flooding due to silt and ground water coming up through our basement floor drain during heavy rains and spring melts. In 2013 a basement sump pump was installed, connected to the outside weeping tiles to contain the silt and water so we could reach down into the pit to remove silt, necessitating continuous monitoring during heavy rain and spring melts. Two weeks ago, Jeff Myers, General Manager from Greenway Landscaping came to assess our property and grading issues to try to mitigate the amount of water and silt coming into the sump pit, handle runoff from the neighbour's property and reduce overflow from the roof eaves troughs.Jeff's suggestion was to put in a high quality PVC perforated pipe in a French drain leading to the front of the property, and tying in the eaves troughs with a solid pipe in the same trench. The downspout attachments have a leaf guard, venting and cleanout capability. If the system becomes overloaded, a pop-up emitter releases water within a stone bed at the front of the house.Jeff, Todd and Jesse's friendly and approachable communication skills, experience and knowledge alleviated my anxiety immediately and I felt I could trust them to do everything possible to try to reduce the amount of water and silt coming into our sump pit. They listened to my concerns and came up with solutions during the entire project and stayed within our budget. Jeff plans to visit during a heavy rainfall and/or spring melt to see how the system is working. Thank you everyone, including Clare Webb, Office Manager & Landscape Designer. A pleasure to work with you all!
After experiencing some drainage issues on our property, we reached out to Greenway for their expert advice and suggestions. We were immediately impressed by their professionalism, which led us to expand the scope of the project to include a full re-landscaping of both our front and back yards.Ryan and Claire were fantastic throughout the planning process, offering creative ideas and putting together a design we absolutely loved. Jeff and his team carried out the work over a couple of weeks, demonstrating exceptional dedication and attention to detail. They were responsive to our input as the project evolved, and the final result exceeded our expectations. We’re thrilled with how everything turned out and would highly recommend Greenway to anyone in need of landscaping or drainage solutions.
We ended up spending way more on this project than we anticipated or hoped, but the experience and end result totally justified the cost. The staff at Greenway Landscaping were incredible every step of the way. Right from the initial email and site assessment, they were completely transparent and honest about what it would take for them to do the job well. Everything needed was discussed and agreed upon up-front, so there were no surprises and the final cost matched the proposal exactly. The project took about a week, and the landscapers were super polite, professional and communicative. After the job was done, our backyard patio space was left immaculate. We could have tried saving money by going with a cheaper quote, but the quality of workmanship and attention to detail speak for themselves. This patio will probably look good for decades to come. Also, special shoutout to Claire who patiently, promptly, pleasantly answered every one of my million questions! Those initial interactions helped me feel confident that I could trust Greenway Landscaping with this project.
We were having rain water pooling in our backyard coming mainly from our driveway and front down spouts that are routed to the back yard, Greenway dug a trench across the width of the driveway, down a hill and to the middle of the back yard where they had dug a 10' x 10' x 4' deep pit. They ran drainage pipe to the pit then filled the pit and the trench with gravel, topped it off with top soil and finally sod.Their crew were great. Very professional and polite. They worked diligently on both days and finished the project beautifully. This past Tuesday we got a lot of rain. At times it just poured. We had no water pooling and no signs of water running down the hill in the back yard. The work was a success.I would highly recommend Greenway Landscaping and would also definitely used them again if the need arises.
