Kyle, Dustin and crew did an amazing job on our flagstone patio. Thanks to Kyle's design, the patio blends in perfectly with the forest and cottage. I especially love how excited they were about the project and working on the details! They completely transformed our property!
One year ago we decided to move forward with a complete backyard patio/retaining wall/garden reconstruction under Kyle and @bondlandscapedesign.ca. We were impressed with his innovative design, listening, collaboration on decisions and installation. We have not been disappointed! When a multi-tier retaining wall collapsed in our backyard over the winter, we needed a solution before the nice weather started. We also wanted to mirror the existing wall to eliminate a steep slope and create a more cohesive look.Kyle responded quickly, provided a quote, and even offered 3D mockups. Based on our budget, he recommended using 6x6 wood beams instead of stone, with proper drainage measures in place.We agreed that my partner and I would take care of additional soil and planting once the weather warms up.His team worked efficiently, completing the project within the estimated timeframe. The crew was hardworking, and Kyle maintained open lines of communication throughout.Overall, we’re pleased with the outcome, but there are areas for improvement:1) Overly Persistent Follow-UpsWhile Kyle was prompt and reliable, he followed up multiple times about approving the quote before we had made a decision. We appreciated his enthusiasm, but the level of persistence made us wonder if he was overly eager for the work. A more measured approach would feel more professional and give clients the space to make decisions at their own pace.2) Inconsistent Warranty CommitmentKyle initially stated a 2-year warranty, later increased it to 3 years, but then reverted to 2 years while finalizing the contract. While he honored the 3-year term when asked, he should ensure consistency in commitments to avoid confusion.3) Lack of Communication on Design ChangesThe final retaining wall had an unexpected overhang on 2 of the 6 tiers, which was not in the mockup or discussed. Kyle made this design choice without consulting us beforehand. When asked to adjust it, he was reluctant, citing concerns about cutting it cleanly, an issue that could have been avoided with proper planning. He did make the cut to the ends, but we are left to sand and finish them ourselves.Kyle and his team delivered a solid retaining wall, and his enthusiasm is evident. However, he should be more mindful of setting clear expectations and making decisions collaboratively.If we were to use his services again, I would encourage Kyle to consider a bit more attention to the finer details of his work. With these refinements, his service could go from good to great.

Great experience with Kyle and his team. We had no idea what we wanted to do and knew it would be a difficult project due to the grade of our backyard. After getting several opinions/ quotes, we chose to move ahead with Bond Landscape & Design due to his expertise, his 3D landscape design, and confidence in delivering a beautiful backyard space to complement our pool and concrete deck. Communication was great and we always felt confident that they all knew what they were doing. The pictures speak for themselves. Highly recommend!
