My front lawn had succumbed to an infestation of grubs, and had to be removed. I called Giant Landscaping, and Jeff came by to survey the situation and discuss my options. He provided a comprehensive Estimate which included all labor, material and equipment to remove the existing lawn (what was left of it), bring in new loam, and the options of either hydroseeding or sod, for a very reasonable price. I decided to go with the sod, and their crew of Joe and Josh arrived with all the necessary equipment and performed all the work in the matter of a few days. I could not be any happier with the result, and I highly recommend Giant Landscaping for your project.
This is the second major project that I have use Giant Landscaping and both times have been a good experience, a few years ago they installed a large Patio at the rear of my home and this year replaced my entire lawn. It's been a tough year with the high temperatures and more than usual amount of rain delaying the project a bit but they came through.Communications and personal contacts starting with Tim the Owner, Eric in charge of Irrigation, the Landscaping Crew and the office ladies have all been great. They continue to check up on the status of my new lawn which is very much appreciated, I would not hesitate to use them again for other projects.Thank you so much for the personal touch your company provides.
I cannot say enough good things about this company and their staff!!! I have used them a little bit in the last 5 years but this year decided to have them take over my landscape because I am not able to do it myself so I am very picky. Also my daughter insisted her wedding at our home on June 14th!!Charlene and Angela in the office are totally amazing!! They referred a block guy, sod company and lawn company they work with and they have all been amazing. They juggled schedules around each of these referrals to coordinate the work, adjusting when they needed and sent me a crew last minute to bail out other things we needed to have our home ready. All the workers that came to my home were respectful and worked so hard in the heat doing whatever we needed. Love them all!! Eric their irrigation guy is so knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Lastly Jeff in charge of the landscape staff is also wonderful!!! Thank you all for everything you do for us, I feel special to have you by my side!!!
Regrettably I have to share my experience and give a negative review. I hired Giant Landscaping to loam and hydro seed an area of my yard that I recently cleared. During the initial consult there was no concern expressed about the grade of my yard, and when inquiring about guaranteeing their work they stated they’d address problem areas as long as they installed the loam. When they came out to begin the loam installation there was heavy rain forecasted, and in an effort to not waste resources I contacted them expressing my concern, and stating that I was in no rush and be happy to wait. I was told “the weather man can be wrong” and offered to purchase erosion barriers for an additional $250. Not pleased with their decision I elected to simply purchase more loam if necessary instead. The rain was heavy and washed out a good portion. Fortunately there was enough loam left over to reapply. Then came the hydro seed. I was told they’d call before coming which never happened. They showed up to spray on Weds 5/28 with more heavy rain and thunderstorms forecasted 2 days later. It completely washed out, and washed all over my patio, and into the rock beds creating an enormous mess with no seed in the areas that need it. I contacted them first thing Monday morning and was told they’d come back out to respray if I payed another $778. I told them I found this unacceptable and also mentioned there’s more storms forecasted a few days from then anyway. Charlene said she’d speak with her boss and call me back. After not hearing anything I called her only to be told the same. I’m now out a significant amount of money, have no grass that will grow, and left with a giant mess to clean up. Hopefully this helps someone else avoid this nightmare.
The crew did a great job with the landscaping. Including digging out and grading the land, bringing in fresh soil, new sod, cobblestone edging for flower beds. Great communication and easy to work with!
