We had a great experience working with Rich and Charles on our backyard landscaping project. Rich did an excellent job designing the space and bringing our ideas to life, and Charles, the Landscape Foreman, led the crew with professionalism and skill while working hands-on to make sure everything was built perfectly. They were responsive, addressed all of our concerns, and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. We’re very happy with the final result and highly recommend their team!
Our backyard transformation turned out beautifully, and for that I give full credit to Joe and his crew. The retaining wall, sod, irrigation, and drainage were all installed with great care and craftsmanship. Joe communicated every step of the process, made sure we were happy as things progressed, and pushed to make sure things were done right. He's the reason we're enjoying our backyard today.Where I have mixed feelings is the sales and project management side. Our Project Design Specialist sold us heavily on the idea that Black Diamond's point of difference was oversight and communication that he'd be on-site at every key stage to inspect materials and quality before anything moved forward. In reality, he showed up on day one, stopped by briefly on day two, and arrived for the final walkthrough. The quality assurance they promised was really delivered by Joe himself.We also had to push back on the final walkthrough to get a drip line installed that was explicitly in our contract - not sure if it was missed during install or just not communicated down to Joe and his team, either way it was quickly addressed and Joe came out the following day to install it.The work itself is excellent. The company's processes and the value for money left something to be desired. If you go with Black Diamond, ask for Joe.
I'm very glad I hired Sean with Black Diamond to be my Landscape Architect and Project Manager for my back yard improvement project. I have met with other companies to get quotes, but only Sean showed genuine sign of care and interest for the project. He was there from day one through the end of the project, educating and guiding my family and I along the way. I have worked with other contractors before, but no as great as Sean. Javier was the subcontractor tasked with the improvements and he did a terrific job. Javier is hardworking, humble, and easy to work with.I highly recommend Black Diamond for your Landscape Project.
Many thanks to Bruno and Paolo and their wonderful crew for the beautiful job completed in my back yard. I’ve never had any landscaping done before and had a very small budget, so wasn’t certain of what to expect. A neighbor highly recommended Black Diamond, and I had some trepidations because I didn’t know how to decide exactly what to have done. But Sean did a fantastic job of guiding me through what were my top priorities as well as pitfalls to avoid. There were a couple of small hiccups - for example, some materials were not delivered on time by subcontractors - but Bruno and the crew kept me up to date on what was happening, cheerfully, respectfully and professionally, and any concerns I had were addressed promptly. I would definitely recommend Black Diamond - and especially Sean, Bruno and Paolo, who made it all come together for me.
Our designer Tyler Schafer and the crew were phenomenal. They completed the job in half the estimated time while not sacrificing quality. Their attention to detail on our patio was great. It was such a huge upgrade to our backyard and worth every dollar.
