Joe sent me an image of what the landscaping would look like when complete and even brought samples of the rock and edging materials so I could see how they looked together. Greater than Five stars plus +++. I called in several of the top names in hardscaping in St Louis, and it was all about them. They all wanted an upfront deposit months in advance and without giving a firm start date. What was further annoying was that they all indicated that any damage to sprinkler system was not their responsibility nor the lawn damage, saying they would spread seed as the solution to a beautiful lawn. Joe the owner of Excel, is all about the customer. He was incredibly responsive, gave us a firm start date which he met, and you can see from the picture
installed a beautiful patio for us. All the other companies indicated a week of disruption, where Excel completed the work in two days and throughout the process Joe was communicating all aspects of project and making sure we were aware of any potential issues to iron out before completion. When the patio was completed, Joe was not happy with the way the pavers looked, and unsolicited from us, he put on a sealer which brought out the color as shown in the magazine and better than the samples. That was a great example of how much he cares about the work he completes. Today, too many companies forget about the customer and who is paying the freight. For us, this was truly an enjoyable experience with a very professional young company working hard for the customer. Engage with Excel in confidence.

Thank you to Joe and his team who removed two undersized concrete piers so we could replace them with a more suitable support. He had to work around the existing patio with out damaging it. What a job they did. We now have the support we need to enjoy our deck safely!. Great job Joe!

Very happy with the work Joe and his team from Excel Landscaping did. The main reason for the work is to get a pad ready for a new shed. I also wanted a large flower bed removed. Joe and his team handled the job with ease and had a can do attitude. It meant a lot to me that Joe committed and followed through. He arrived on time for our initial meeting, provided the bid as promised on time. He communicated when he would be here to do the work. We had to delay one week due to the untimely snow storm. Please see the before and after pictures below. I already have another job scheduled in a couple of week. So nice and easy to work with Joe. Thanks to Excel Landscaping I am getting things done I have only dreamed of doing for years. Thanks Cindy!!

Update:: 3/23/24 shed was installed yesterday. The shed company was pleased with the preparation of the pad. Easy set up very little was needed to level the shed.

Joe’s team showed up as scheduled this morning at 7. Phase two was to transform hillside, remove bushes, remove concrete waterfall, level the hillside and place fabric over the entire hill. They also removed overfilled flower beds and placed rock on a sidewalk path. Jackhammered the pond bottom for water drainage. This was a tough job as the concrete was extremely thick with re-bar. See additional pictures of before and after the awesome transformation. I can’t thank the guys enough for the work they did all day. Excel Landscaping gets the job done.
