MD Landscaping did a lock stone patio and car port at my sons house. I met with the owner prior to starting the job and he explained in detail exactly what needed to be done. They did an great job removing the old cement and preparing the area for the stone. The entire crew that worked on the job were experienced and a pleasure to deal with. If I had any questions they were more than happy to answer them. The patio and car port look amazing and the job was completed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them as we are very pleased with the job.

Nick and the team were awesome! Besides doing exactly what we asked for (which turned out amazing) they also had great communication before and during the work, gave not only a quote but time/date estimates, arrived on time and cleaned up afterward. They also provided digital mock-ups which I found to be very helpful in visualizing the work. I would definitely go with them again for any future landscaping jobs.

After the 30 cm of heavy, wet, sticky snow we received on April 2, 2025, I was so grateful to have Patrick and Adid from MD Landscape and Design arrive to plow and shovel me out!

I have relied on MD Landscape and Design since Nov. 2016, known at that time as MD Lawncare, when a friend recommended Mike to me.

It was a day similar to our recent snow event and I was awaiting another local company to come and clear me out. I had been their client for a couple of years. They never showed up that day and they weren’t responding to my e-mails or phone calls. When I did hear back from them, the response was, “We never heard from you as I called back in September." So according to them, I was not on their client list for that season. Grrrr! So I forwarded them the e-mail in which he said in August 2016, "Yes, you are still on for snow." I never received a response. Obviously they did not want or need me as a client.

At that time of year, most of the local companies already had their client lists full for the winter season. A friend reached out to Mike and he came, plowed me out, and then he put me on his client list. I was so so grateful and I have relied on Mike and his team for all my snow plowing/shovelling needs ever since.

Mike is an expert professional, knowledgeable, always learning, growing and adapting. This shows in how his business has grown and flourished over the years. He communicates well with his clients. He is a good listener, generous with his time and expertise, accommodating a client’s needs as best as he can, working with his resources and a client’s budget, creating a package and payment plan that works best for you.

The beauty of having a Winter Snow Service Package is that having a contract gives you first access to their snow service, which runs from Nov. 15 to April 15 of the current year. Services are activated when snow accumulation reaches 5cm or more. Price is dependent on the package/services that you sign up for for that winter season. What I really like is the Return Visit after city plow comes by!!!!

Having a contract means that you pay a set price for the whole season. It doesn’t matter if the team makes 6 visits that year or 18 visits that year. As Mike once explained to me, “Our pricing is intended to account for the variance in years with a fair rate. If we were doing driveways off contract on a per visit basis our pricing would be upwards of $75 per visit.” Having a contract is wise.

Mike (President) surrounds himself with good people who do great work. Ryan Arabia (Partner), Michael Henry (Maintenance Manager), Nick Muia (Manager and brother), and employees Patrick, Adid, Austin, Shane, Matthew and many others have helped to take care of my home and property. They have all been exceptional.

The summer of 2023, I decided to treat myself and asked Mike to create a lawn maintenance package for me, with the guys coming every two weeks. It was such a treat that summer to have the lawn mown so nicely and weed eating/edging done.

Property maintenance for the spring, summer and fall begins on May 1. I used to have another company come and do aerating, fertilizer, weed control and overseeding for me. December 2023, I contacted Mike and asked if he could put a property maintenance proposal together for me for the upcoming 2024 season, which included eavestrough cleaning, spring lawn service, lawn maintenance, fall lawn service, and weed spray, and he did.

The price was reasonable. The team who came was friendly, skilled, professional and reliable.

I am one happy customer. I highly recommend Mike, his team, and the services that they have to offer, no matter the season. They do great work, and will address any concerns that you ever have. Service that you can trust. Thank you, Mike!

P.S. – Whether or not you choose to hire MD Landscape and Design for your seasonal needs, always hire someone who is insured, rather than just any handy person. This protects you from financial liability in case of accidents, property damage, or injuries.
